sick kids are really pathetic sometimes.
evan doesn’t feel good today, and that was determined on the way to work/school, when we were all in one car, so I had to take rob to work and then turn around and come home. that after suggesting that we take two cars, because i wasn’t sure that evan was going to make it all day, but rob nixed it, so now i’ll have to drag the boy back to town at the end of the day. i swear it’s the annoyed face that is making that wrinkle in my forehead that’s going to require a botox shot (okay, not really. I don’t think i could do the botox thing).
so, i’m at home. he’s napping. i may go use the magic eraser some more in my bathroom. i don’t know what that stuff is made out of, but it really *is* magic. I’ll post some before/after pics later to prove it.
steve irwin is dead
it was a stingrays sharp tail
the crocs are jealous
a little haiku for steve irwin. I always thought he’d just lose an arm or something, not pierced through the heart by a stingray…sheesh. that’s bad luck. Only three other known deaths by stingray in austrailia…that’s really bad luck! I feel for his wife and young chidren.
in other news, the boy and I are at home today. Rob had to work on Labor day, so it’s just the two of us. Rob has taken up his juggling again, so I have to go find him some juggling paraphanalia today, which means a trip to the most awesome toy store in nashville: Phillips Toy Mart! Of course, that means we’ll spend a couple hours there watching the huge electric train setup they have there. Evan adores it! Kids can even climb up into this little tower for a birds eye view of the layout. And it also means that I’ll have to buy the boy something too. I can’t go to the toy store and get something for daddy and not for Evan!
I do. I used to beg to stay up late to watch Letterman, and it was so freakin hilarious. Of course, it could be that I was 13 or something and the stupid things he did (dipping himself in chip dip, velcro suit, throwing stuff off buildings to see what would happen, alkaseltzer suit, stupid pet/human tricks) really appealed to me then
He used to be a risk-taker…and it was good comedy! Someone linked me up to some old letterman on youtube and I thought I’d share one here (I never liked Bryant Gumble anyway):
