1. What is your occupation? mom for three years, university event planner by day.
2. What color is your underwear? white with flowers
3. What are you listening to right now? watching a re-run of the Colbert Report…he cracks me up.
4. What was the last thing you ate? shells and cheese
5. Do you wish on stars? if they’re shooting
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? orange
7. How is the weather right now? it was almost 70 today. Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow. Welcome to global warming.
8. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Amanda, a friend and co-worker from Vandy. She was on a mission.
9. How old are you today? 32. Will be 33 in October.
10. Favorite drink? ice cold Coca Cola and ice cold milk. not mixed or anything.
11. Favorite sport to watch? Titans football!
12. Have you ever dyed your hair? Yep, used to a ton in college…have been dye free for about 4 years now.
13. Do you wear contacts or glasses? glasses in front of the computer.
14. Pets? 3 silly cats who think they rule the roost (Shinzee, Griffen and Jill)
15. Favorite month? October…it’s my birthday and anniversary and it’s finally cool after a long summer.
16. Favorite food? fondue from the Melting Pot
17. What was the last movie you watched? The last movie in the theatre was “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. Netflix was Pirates of the Caribbean. Both good movies.
18. Favorite day of the year? The day after Commencement when I can finally sleep in peace after 5 months of worry.
19. What do you do to vent anger? I yell. Bitch and moan. Then I get over it. Most of the time.
20. Hugs or kisses? Both!
21. Cherry or blueberry? Blueberry
22. Living arrangements? we bought this house in 2001….hope to be somewhere else in a couple of years!
23. When was the last time you cried? hm…the last time I cried hard was a couple weeks ago when Katherine had her baby and I was in Vegas and missed everything…the bad (he had a rough start) and the good (he’s doing great now!)
24. What is on the floor of your closet? about 20 pairs of my black shoes mixed with 3 pairs of Rob’s.
25. Who is/are the friends you have had the longest? Kiezha and Katherine
26. What did you do last night? fell asleep on the couch with the computer in my lap.
27. Favorite smell? gardenias…laundry dried on the line…
28. What inspires you? Breathing
29. What are you afraid of? bugs in general…all but a few bugs, really.
30.Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers? Cheese, and only cheese
31. Favorite car? I would love to have a little convertible Cooper Mini. Orange or bright Red.
32. Favorite dog breed? poodle (yes, poodle…they’re smart and they don’t shed)
33. Number of keys on your key ring? 10. Plus all those stupid plastic cards from the grocery stores.
34. How many years at your current job? I’ve been at Vanderbilt almost 9 years.
35. Favorite day of the week? Saturday…
36. How many states have you lived in? Two.
37. How many cities have you lived in/name them? Hollywood, Florida, Sewanee, Tn, Clarksville, Tn, Machester, Tn, Nashville, Tn, Fairview, Tn….so that makes 6.
38. What was the last book you read? The last book I read was the Virgin’s Lover by Phillipa Gregory.

So now I’ll get to share the answers to a bunch of questions with you…but just not right now! I’m about to inverview someone for the administrative assistant position open in my office…so as soon as I can I’ll get those answers typed out…until then, check out Becky’s blog here to see her answers!
So today I decided I need to take up more of our office with my scrap stuff. Luckily, Rob is a sweet, sweet man and didn’t mind that I moved his desk over to re-arrange the room for myself 
I brought in a computer desk we had that was living out it’s golden years in our garage…I took the monitor piece off and now have another desk for my ever-increasing stash!

So it’s snowing at my house and I promised Cara (in Florida) some snow photos….so here it is! We’re supposed to wake up to up to 4 inches of snow. We’ll see. But here’s the view out of our back door tonight.
Okay, I thought I might be able to say a little something in my blog about Crystal leaving my office as my assistant. Over the 7 years that I’ve known her and the 5 years she’s been the administrative assistant for Commencement and Special Projects, we have become very close friends and partners and crime. She was the second person I called when my water broke (after my mom) and I went with her to her ultrasound when she found out she was having a baby girl! We’re tight!
I’ve tried not to get really emotional, as she’s only going to move across campus to her new job…it’s not like she’s leaving Vanderbilt all together. But it’s still not going to be the same in the office without her. It goes deeper than that, but I think it won’t really hit me until after she’s been gone for a few days. We actually talked about it today, and we decided that coming into our respective offices on Monday would probably be our first really hard day. Okay, so this is just interesting to me, and yes I’m going on about it, but it’s really on my mind today, so it’s now splashed across my blog. My good friend Steve Green took this picture of Crystal and I today during her little going away party.
So I got to see Liam today! He’s a little doll and so tiny. You kinda forget how tiny they can be when your own has gotten so big He’s doing okay, but will stay at least one more night in the hospital because he’s not eating quite as much as they’d like him too. He is almost eating an ounce at each feeding, and that’s their goal. He’s been keeping it down much better last night and today.
Katherine and Daniel are in high spirits and it was great to spend the afternoon with them and their family. It’s been a long time coming to see them so happy.
I’ve added a Liam album on the right side of the page. He’s really cute so check him out! And yes, I’m wearing a freebie I picked up at the QuicKutz booth at CHA. Katherine’s sister Susan is a scrapbooker, so she appreciated it. Everyone else just stared at my chest saying “you love what??”
Wow. What a week it’s been! I’ve traveled all day and am finally home from a week at CHA in Las Vegas! I came home to some great mail too. I got my QK Studio! WOOHOO! I can’t wait to play with those. I also got my kit from Tie One On and The Scrap Book Stand and three of the January QK releases. And I’m admitting it…I signed up for another kit club. Becky and Sonda (so Sonda’s a bit partial because she’s on the design team…but it’s an awesome kit!) were enablers, but I had been checking it out for a little while and I love kits so I joined Paper Posies. You see the logical leap I made, right?. Sheesh. that was just a whole litany of dollar signs. I’ve better get to working at my desk tomorrow and crank out some layouts! Maybe I’ll even attempt to submit something one of these days…
I am so tired. It’s 2:00 a.m. on the dot on Saturday morning as I type this and I’m still wired. I’m over-tired and just can’t go to bed yet. Poor Rob crashed a while ago after trying in vain to make my computer behave. Even my roomies were giving me grief about my slow computer!
Speaking of roomies, it was great to see Kim again and then also get to meet 3 really cool people! Sonda, you are so freakin cool I can’t stand it. You have the sweetest family and I’m totally coming to California. Niki (aka the adhesive queen), it was such a blast to meet you and I think I’m going to try your dip recipe this weekend. S’all good!! Becky you just rock…thank you for *everything*
(okay, just a note, it is now Saturday morning…I fell asleep on the couch this morning with my computer on my lap…) I’ll be posting pics to Flickr this afternoon. Right now, I’m heading to Murfreesboro to see my new "nephew" (okay, not really, but Kat’s my sister from another mother, so it counts).
Anyway, haven’t gone though and really looked close at most of my pics, but here’s a cute one of me and Sonda (mostly Sonda is cute and I have a double chin, but I’m working on that one….)
